Characters AC Unity

Name: Adeláire Fontaine
Born on August 7, 1773 in Florence, to a French father and Italian mother.
Adeláire lost her mother and father at the age of six. Templars had uncovered her mother's affiliation with the Brotherhood and taken the family by surprise in their own home. In the course of the questioning for secrets of the Brotherhood. Adeláire’s father died of the consequences. When her mother was threatened with to lay hand onto Adeláire's older brother, she began to reveal what she knew.
Adeláire and her brother Gerard could be rescued by Assassins as the Templars tried to erase traces by annihilating the family. From then on, they grew up in the Brotherhood and Master Trenet took the children as her wards. Gerard later died on a mission.
During her education Adeláire became friends with Verne Lemoine and Francesco Marechal. Both belong to the closest circle of friends of Arno Dorian. When Dorian was banished from the Brotherhood, Verne and Francesco included her in their team. Adeláire only met Arno Dorian when she was commissioned to persuade him to work with Bonaparte.

Name: Arno Victor Dorian
Well known through game and novel. Five years have passed since theevents in Dead Kings. Arno has not returned to the Assassins yet. However, following his return from Franciade, the Council has re-assigned him the management of the Café. He keeps in touch with Verne and Francesco, he is still in conflict with Jean-Jacques LaHache.

Name: Verne Lemoine
Also known as "Greencoat" from the first official E3 trailer.
Born on October 3, 1765 in Nantes.
Verne is the tinkerer of the group. He is often found in his laboratory besides his assignments as an Assassin. Although he is normally charming and nonchalant, he is deadly and purposeful in action. In the group, he often takes over the role of dispute arbitrator and mediator. He is a naturally cheerful person, and can oftentimes be too goofy and easygoing to the frustrations of others in the wrong situations, as he very much acts first and asks questions later. Despite this, he can be serious when need be, and worries a lot about his closest friends.
He was born to a well-off family, his father being a textile merchant, and so grew up comfortable. Verne’s father wanted him to take over his business, but Verne’s true love lies in creating things and understanding how they work, and so he enrolled to study chemistry and the other sciences at Collège Royal. After difficulties he faced from fellow students and some teachers who were more concerned with his sexuality than his accomplishments, Verne turned to the Assassins in 1787 after being targetting by the Templars.

Name: Francesco Marechal
Also known as "Icecream" (fan given) from the first official E3 trailer.
He was born on June 28, 1770 in Paris, to French and Italian parents.
Francesco is the strategist of the group. Whilst it is often Arno who takes the lead in the field, the actions are mostly based on Francesco's plans. His preferred weapon, a rifle, also gives him the most overviewing position, and he’ll most often snipe and call out the field for the others, as his sharp mind allows him to quickly grasp situations, and he has been known to turn dire situations on their heads.
Despite Italian roots, he is more of a calm and laid-back guy. He and Arno work well together and are often the ones to devise their mission plans.Francesco is the only one of the group born into the Brotherhood. His mother is still an intergral part of the Brotherhood, whilst his father was killed whilst he was still a young child. He grew up educated and loved, and out of the group, has been the one least beaten down by the world. He grew close to Adeláire growing up, and she became like a little sister to him; should you wrong her, he won't be kind.

Name: Jean-Jacques LaHache
Also known as "Axeman" from the first official E3 trailer.
Born on November 15, 1761 in Marseille.
Jean is the oldest in the group and is often teased for it. His favourite weapon, his axe, he affectionately calls "mon petit cherie". Although Jean’s stubborn, those he calls friends can rely on him.
After the Marcourt operation, Arno and Jean, who were very close friends, fell out after LaHache killed innocent guards and so alerted Marcourt to their presence. As such, Arno accused Jean of not only killing innocent guards, but potentially losing leads on Germain. The final straw that ended their friendship was a quarrel about Elise, who Jean never liked due to her Templar allegiance and the notion that Arno's final goals for the mission were done for her benefit in her hunt for Germain, not for the Brotherhood's or people’s gain.Early experiences in Jean’s life have made him distrustful and oftentimes resentful of people who come from privileged backgrounds; he and Arno didn’t get on when they first met either, and didn’t become firm friends until they had worked together on multiple assignments. Jean’s attitude towards the Templars is almost as radical as Bellec’s
